A 46-year-old man, Patrick Markson, has committed suicide after allegedly killing his wife, Hannah, 35, in Bayelsa State.  The incident occurred at Odede Street, Tombia-Amassoma Road, Yenagoa, the state capital, in the early hours of Thursday, August 26.    According to witnesses, the man said to be a staff of the Yenagoa Local Government, reportedly bludgeoned his wife to death in her sleep with a sledgehammer and she died on the spot.   He was said to have watched the woman bleed to death and then drank a poisonous substance suspected to be insecticide, after which he laid close to the bleeding corpse and died.   The weapon   It was gathered that the couple who had six children together were embroiled in marital disputes prior to the tragic incident.    According to Vanguard, the disagreement bothers on money realised from a contract handed to the husband by some members of his wife's family.   Speaking to the pub...
