In what will come across as a really shocking development, a 16-year-old secondary school student has died in Delta. The young lady, identified as Blessing, passed away after consuming a substance. According to a family source, “She drank a substance and was rushed to the hospital where she passed away. “She did it because her boyfriend ended their relationship. It’s heartbreaking for her family.”

Graduate who worked as security officer while schooling, gets job offer

  A young Nigerian female graduate who sponsored herself through school by working as a security officer has been offered an internship job at a Lagos firm. This is after the lady known as Nkechi Benjamin, graduated from the Imo state university, Owerri. A LinkedIn user, Chima Onwumere shared the news about Nkechi’s new job offer and disclosed that the company also offered her accommodation because there was nowhere she could stay in Lagos. Nkechi celebrated her academic feat on social media with cute and memorable pictures. She affirmed that truly, one’s dreams are achievable as long as the person has the courage to pursue them.   A Nigerian man, Maduadichie Cyprian, who engaged in menial jobs and used the proceeds to sponsor himself through school, has taken to his social media handle to celebrate his graduation.   Posting photos of himself doing the menial jobs alongside photos of himself on the day of his final paper, Cyprian wrote ''THE SUFFERING BOY HAS GRADUATED! A young  girl born with a physical disability has spoken on how she copes and lives in a world where she is unable to walk. 9-year-old Agnes Mba revealed that she crawls to school which has a distance of 1 kilometre every day. The little girl who resides in Ghana told BBC News Pidgin that she has never walked in her entire life and she is hopeful that would be able to do so in the nearest future. Her mother said she had carried Agnes to school initially but stopped it. So on one faithful day, the girl took the bull by its horns and wore her school uniform with a mission to crawl to school. Secondary school students caught swimming in hotel during school hours in Calabar

Castro Ezama, the Special Adviser on Education to the Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, caught some secondary school students swimming in a popular hotel during school hours.   Ezama, who disclosed this on Friday, July 2, said that similar incidents have been recorded in some hotels.    "Hotels found to have been allowing them in have been sternly warned. We support swimming as a good sport for our young ones but it should be done at the right time." he added.
