Two staff of the Porth Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) were attacked while trying to disconnect the power lines of defaulters in Rumuewhara, Port Harcourt. A video shared online shows two PHED officials, one on top of a ladder disconnecting the power lines and another at the foot of the ladder.   Suddenly, locals approached the PHED official at the foot of the ladder and attack him before throwing him to the ground and landing blows on him.   While this is going on, a woman walks up to the ladder and pulls it, causing the PHED official on top of the ladder to fall several feet to the ground.   A video of the attack has gone viral on Twitter.   Watch below.   Long story cut short. There was a dramatic incident at the burial ceremony of an unknown person whose copse refused to be buried. In a video which surfaced online, the coffin containing the corpse could be seen resisting attempts by people to carry it to its burial destination. Five persons have been crushed to death in a fatal accident along Tombia-Amassoma road, leading to the newly opened Bayelsa State Airport.    The accident which happened on Thursday evening, August 19, was said to have involved a Venza car and two tricycles heading towards Amassoma community.  According to an eyewitness, Mr Stephen Jones, the driver of the Venza lost the control as a result of the downpour and rammed into two oncoming tricycles, leading to the death of five passengers with others injured.     He said that men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) had evacuated the corpses and deposited them at a mortuary in Yenagoa, while the injured persons were taken to hospital for treatment.    However, an official of the Bayelsa State Command of the FRSC, who did not want his name mentioned, said the accident occurred due to speeding by the Venza driver.  "The driver lost control and rammed into the tricycles,” he told Daily Trust   The Tombia-Amassoma road is said to have

An 18-year-old househelp has been accused of poisoning her boss' food in Ibadan. In a viral video, the boss is heard confronting the maid, accusing her of putting a substance in his meal. Doctors were left baffled when they found a live ladybird moving about in a man's intestines.   The 59-year-old man visited a hospital in the US for a colonoscopy in which a small camera is inserted in the rectum for a closer inspection of the bowels, reports IFL Science.   The routine practice is carried out to check what's causing bowel symptoms such as bleeding from the bottom or constipation.   But what doctors found was a live ladybird in the man's body.     The incredible find was included as a case study in the American Journal of Gastroenterology entitled "An Unusual Finding of a Ladybug on Screening Colonoscopy" by Francis E. Dailey.   In the case report it reads: "A ladybug was found in the transverse colon during screening colonoscopy of a 59-year-old man with no comorbidities."     According to the journal the "colonoscopy preparation may have helped the bug to escape from digestive enzymes in the stomach and upper small intestine".
